Bridge Demolition - Gretna Green
The Project at Gretna Green consisted of the complete demolition of the steel bridge spanning the river that forms the border between England and Scotland, whilst minimising the traffic delays. The work was completed with the assistance of two 300 tonne cranes within 15 hours. Traffic was halted on the remaining stone bridge for a mere 20 minutes, work started on building the new bridge within 24 hours.
